Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar related field
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in governmental or fund accounting
Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheets and databases, including use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to import/export data; create queries, forms and reports
Excellent math and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy, ability to problem solve.
Self-motivated and directed; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment with various staff and coordinate multiple grants.
Evidence of consistent positive interactions with employees, colleagues, administrators and outside agencies.
Good attendance
Preferred:
MSBO Business Office Manager or Chief Financial Officer certification, or willingness to obtain or Central Office Certification as issued by the MI Department of Education
Experience with computerized accounting software, including MUNIS
Master’s Degree or CPA designation
Experience with tech millage or bond issues, and sinking funds.
Previous successful school district experience

Salary/Benefits:
Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Full-time with benefit package. Salary Range $49,545-$72,416.
